Inspirare Vocal Ensemble

INSPIRARE VOCAL ENSEMBLE is a mixed choir with formidable vocal prowess stemming from its members’ rich choral background. Having come from notable choirs in the Philippines, Inspirare has progressed quickly from being a small church group to a sought after vocal ensemble for big performances.
Inspirare Vocal Ensemble Conductor MELVIR AUSENTE is a voice scholar, choral conductor and well-traveled experienced chorister with degrees in Choral Conducting and Creative Performance in Music and Arts from the University of the Philippines. An active and passionate musician, Melvir has participated in competitions and festivals from his student days with the world-renowned Philippine Madrigal Singers and the World Youth Choir, traveling throughout Europe and Asia. He has represented the Philippines in the World Youth Choir twice 2006 and 2007. Shortly after coming to the United States, he became a member-soloist of the professional El Paso Chamber Singers in Texas and the El Paso Opera in its production of “Il Trovatore" in 2008. Since 2009, Melvir has been with the Los Angeles Mater Chorale (LAMC) with several Baritone solo opportunities like his debut at Walt Disney Concert Hall in the 2010 Handel’s Messiah Sing-Along Concert. Performing at least three times a year in Disney Hall and the Hollywood Bowl with the LAMC and the LA Philharmonic, Melvir was soloist for the North American premier of Lindberg’s Graffiti. Although a core member and baritone soloist of the LAMC, Melvir remains grounded and continues to teach church and community choirs and private voice students.
